Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about our camping programs along with the complete answers from our support experts. Please keep in mind that camping means different things to different people. Here are a few suggestions for new campers:
Price is determined by the amount of people in your party, your meal plan and the location.
Example # 1: 10 people in Catskills, NY for two nights with Stem and Leaf supplying all equipment and meals would start at approximately $300 per person.
Example #2: 6 People in Lake George, NY on your own private island with a motored boat and private chef would cost approximately $700 per person for a three day-two night excursion.
Note: These are example price packages. All excursions are individualized and priced based on camper’s preferences and selections.
It depends on your package. Stem and Leaf has supplies for all occasions. This includes tents, canopies, tables, hammocks, grills, and all cooking equipment and utensils.
A significant part of camping is the beauty of wildlife. As long as rules are followed there is no danger. Most animals are more afraid of us than we are of them. We sleep with food locked away in vehicles for extra precaution.
Some of our most fun excursions have been done in the rain. This is an opportunity for board games, movies and you can still go swimming and fishing as long as there is no thunder! If you bring the right people, the fun never stops. Rain or shine.
Articles of clothing are decided by two things: weather and climate. In either scenario flip flops are always a necessity. Flip flops worn in the showers and a hoodie worn at night is always a great idea as the temperature drops in the evening.
Meal Plans are determined by the camper’s preferences. We are experienced accommodating to dietary and allergy restrictions. We will make a meal plan tailored to your needs.
